Ljubljana airport renamed Fraport Slovenija

Belgrade (dpa) – The Ljubljana airport has been renamed Fraport Slovenija to bring it in line with a new corporate image, the STA news agency reported Thursday. The airport was acquired by the German-based operator Fraport in 2014. The renaming is a “strong signal” of Fraport’s commitment as a long-term investor,” STA said, quoting Fraport’s Christoph Nanke.
Fraport Slovenija director Zmago Skobir said that the airport is now a part of a “very strong, big group” of airports around the world.
