Douala airport partially shut down for repairs

Cameroon’s busiest airport the Douala International Airport has been shut down until April 25 to allow for repair works, authorities have said.
The airport was closed for three weeks in March 2016 following the rehabilitation of the 3km long runway.
But unlike last year when all flights were re-routed to the Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport – the country’s second largest – officials say this month’s repair works will only cause traffic disruptions.
