Austrian top court annuls climate-based ruling against new runway

Austria’s Constitutional Court annulled a ban against building a third runway at Vienna’s international airport on Thursday, arguing that environmental considerations had been wrongly applied by a lower court.
The Federal Administrative Court had ruled against the runway project in February, on the grounds that it would increase air traffic and could cause damaging climate change effects.
